While I was on holiday in Scotland recently I made this sketch of a wolf at the Highland Wildlife park in Kingussie.
There are two wolves at the park, a male and a female, named Puika and Elara. I have been going to the Highland Wildlife park for years and always look forward to seeing the wolves as they are one of my favorite animals! They are fairly hard to draw as they move around a lot and they live in a lovely enclosure filled with trees that they can easily hide in. I had to add extra detail to this drawing whenever I saw them get back into this position!

Another Swan Lake picture
Here is another Swan Lake picture! This time it features Odette transforming from a swan into a human, in the scene where Siegfried first sees her. I love this story because it has a perfect mix of romance, magic and tragedy. As well as princes and princesses of course :)
This has taken me quite a while as it's a fairly complicated image, and backgrounds (the water and trees) just seem to take forever.
I created it by scanning a pencil image into Photoshop and colouring it digitally.

The Pencil Image.
I have some news regarding my Wuthering Heights postcard: It is going to be exhibited in Keighley library starting on the 14th of April and later going 'on tour'. This is as much as I know at the moment and will update with any new information.

Wuthering Heights
I just entered a competition/exhibition called A Postcard to Emily which calls for postcard sized artwork on the theme of Wuthering Heights. Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite books of all time so I had to enter!
I only found out about the competition on Thurdsay and it had to be sent by 12 o clock today so I've been working really hard to get finished.
This is the image I submitted - it was created using pencils and Photoshop CS2.
I thought some people might be interested to know a bit about my working process so I've uploaded the image at the finished pencil work stage.
and for and even earlier stage, here is my initial rough plan !
As always, please click the images for a larger view.

Sketches of Nick
These are some sketches I did of my boyfriend while he was practicing the classical guitar.
It's a good time to draw as he hardly moves (apart from his hands)!

Swan Lake concept sketch

I've got a bit of an obsession with swanlake and have done illustrations for it before. I think it would be great to draw a whole sequence and colour them in watercolour.
